Audience: Teachers
System Preferences: Latest Chrome OS

Itslearning courses have the ability to have academic standards associated with them, so that teachers can tag the standards to assignments, activities, and resources, as well as monitor student progress. To associate standards with an assignment, the teacher must first add the standards to the course via the course settings menu.

  1. Login to itslearning and navigate to the course via the "courses" drop down menu.
    Courses dropdown menu in itslearning

  2. When you have reached the course, click the "More" button across the course navigation banner and select "settings".
    Select "more" and "settings".
  3.  Select "Standards" from the settings menu.
    "Standards" button in settings menu
  4.  Select "find" to locate standards from the state or national respository.
  5.  When the window appears, use the dropdown menu to select from the available standards repositories.
  6.  Select the folder of standards you would like to utilize, and when you have located your content standards, select all, or some, and then select "insert and close".
Standards add window, select the checkbox and then "insert and close" at the bottom of the window to add standards
  7. You have now added standards to your course. Now when creating plans in the itslearning plans, assignments, or assessments, you can associate the standards.
