Use itslearning Page as Homepage

Itslearning allows multiple itslearning course start page configurations. You can use itslearning pages as a start page, or homepage, for your itslearning course. Course pages as homepages are popular due to the customization and many features they can incorporate.

  1. Go to your itslearning course and click the green “add” button in the upper right corner. Select “page” if it appears in the short menu. If not, select “show all”.

  2. Click “page” from the options.

  3. Give your page a title. Recommendation: include your name and homepage in the title so no one will get confused!
  4. Now you need to change the course settings so this page will be the first page, or start page, the students are taken to when they enter your course. Click the “more” button across the top banner. Select “settings”.

  5. Select “course properties and features”.

  6. Scroll down the page to the “Choose Start Page” dropdown menu (below the functions). Click the dropdown menu and select the name of the page you created.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click save. Now you can begin editing your page to make it engaging, interactive, and informative for your students!

Itslearning allows multiple itslearning course start page configurations. You can use itslearning pages as a start page, or homepage, for your itslearning course. Course pages as homepages are popular due to the customization and many features they can incorporate.

  1. Find and save the image you want to use on your device. You can conduct a Google Image search. Right click, Save image as, Save to desktop.

  2. On page in itslearning, select "add rich content block".

  3.  Click to add an image, the image icon button on the rich text editor toolbar.

  4. Select "upload and insert".


  5. Select "choose file", navigate to your device desktop where the image is saved, select your image, and select "upload and insert".

  6. Locate the link you want the image linked to and copy the link (right click and select "copy link address". If it is an item in the course tree that you would like to link to, right click on it in the itslearning course tree, and select "copy link address".

  7. Click on image to get the dotted box around it, so that it is selected and you can build the link, making it a "button". Click on the insert link button.

  8.   Paste the link in the URL box that appears. Click OK , then OK again. You can now click the link to test it.
