MBA Alerts Quick Start Guide
MBA alerts has been set up in PowerSchool to allow a centralized way to manage alerts as well as giving us the ability create and program alerts and notifications to show up automatically.
Assigning Alerts
On a selected Student, click on the MBA Alert Creator on the left hand side for the screen. This will bring up the MBA Alert Creator Screen. You will be able to adjust PowerSchools core alerts (Guardian, Discipline, Health, and Other) as well as create whatever MBA Alerts you have available to you. Click on the "New Alert" button to assign a MBA Alert to this student.
Select the desired alert along with the alert text and Expiration of the alert and then click "Submit". (Note: if there is no expriation for the alert, just leave it blank so that it will not expire). These alerts will also show to the appropriate people that need them and the permissions are set at the district level. (Building admins, teachers, substitutes, etc.)
Alert Reporting
From your schools main page in PowerSchool, scroll down to find and click on the "MBA Alerts Creator" link on the left hand side of the screen.
On the next screen, click on the "Alert Reports". You will be given the option of reporting on any standard PowerSchool alerts along with any that were created using the MBA Alert Creator.
