BCSC hosts over 60 resources in Canvas.  Below you will find information for Elementary and some secondary.  If you have questions please reach out to your Principal or Dept Chair.

Elementary

All elementary curriculum resources can be accessed via Canvas. You will need to add the page with all of the elementary curriculum links into your Canvas course in order for students/staff to access. Open Google Chrome internet web browser. Then, make sure you are logged in to your BCSC Google account. If you are already signed in, you will see your name in the top right region of your screen. If you are not, you will see a “person” icon. Click the icon and sign in with your BCSC Google account. Sign in to your Canvas account. Then, go to the Canvas Commons on the left hand global navigation menu. 

If prompted, grant Canvas Commons access to your Canvas account. The Commons will load and you should see a featured item titled, “BCSC Elementary Curriculum Resources”. If it does not appear, in the search box, type BCSC Elementary Curriculum Resources and select the item that appears.

When the page loads, on the right hand side of the screen, select “Import/download”.

 Then, select which Canvas courses you would like to add the curriculum page into. You can select multiple. 

It may take a minute or two for the import to finish. You can access the resource in your course by going to your Home or Subjects/Courses menu on the left side of your screen and clicking the name of the course where you just copied the resource into. When you are in the course, click the “Manage Subject” button in the top left corner.

Then, click the “pages” menu from the course navigation menu, and select “view all pages” at the top.

 Locate the name of the page you just imported into the course (BCSC Elementary Curriculum Resources and Home Page Template).

Click the name of the page to access it. You can click the edit button at the top of the screen to edit the page. To set this page as your course home, click the 3-dot button at the top of the page, and select “Use as Subject Home.”

Click the icons to open a sign in screen for each elementary curriculum resource. ⭐Note: There are 2 versions of the icons on your page; remove whichever version you do not intend to use. When you click the icon, you will use your BCSC Google account to authenticate into each resource. HMH ELA and Science will immediately take you to a screen to select your Google account. Eureka and Studies Weekly will take you to a screen that says Clever, where you will need to select your BCSC Google account. IXL will take you to a BCSC IXL sign in screen where you will need to select your BCSC Google account. This is the same process students will use to sign in as well.
