Cut Data/ Files Instead of Copy

In order to ensure the files scanned do not ever end up in authorized hands we recommend when moving them instead of copy/ paste or drag and dropping you utilize right click> cut> paste as this will delete the data from the USB as well ayou want it on one step!

Canon ir6870i Copier


Step-by-step instructions:

Load Originals: Place your document(s) on the Platen Glass or in the Document Feeder. 

1. Insert the USB Drive: Locate the Direct Print Port on the copier, often on the right side of the control panel, and insert your USB flash drive.

2.  Start the Scan: On the Home screen, press the Scan and Store button. 


3.  Select Destination: On the Save/Forward to screen, select Memory Media or USB flash drive, then select Save to USB flash drive. 


4.  a. Adjust Settings: Press the right Function button to adjust scan settings like resolution or color, if needed. b.Then press File Format. c.Choose file format. d. Choose OCR (Prioritize Precision)


5.  1. Enter File Name  2.Press Start 


6.  Start Scanning: Allow pages to scan, then press Close.  b. Press Home and remove USB drive.
 

 
 

HP E62665 & E62655 Copier

1. Insert USB into the USB port.

2. Select “Scan” from the Copiers Home screen.

3. Select “Scan to USB” Drive from the Scan Options

4a. Choose the save location, or leave as default.

4b. Choose the name of the file that will be created. Note that the copier will add the Date and Time to the end of the chosen name.

4c. Change any settings as needed.

5. Press the “save” button.

6. The document has been scanned and placed on the USB Drive now. You can remove the USB and plug it into your device now to use your scanned document.

 

 
 

Ricoh IM7000 Copier

  1. Insert your flash drive
    Locate the USB port on the side of the copier's touchscreen and plug in your flash drive.
  2. Access the scan menu
    On the main screen, press “Print/Scan (Memory Storage Device)”.
  3. Start scanning
    • 3a. Select “Scan to Storage Device”.
    • 3b. Choose “USB”.
    • 3c. Place your documents in the tray or on the glass, then press the “Start” button. 
  4. After scanning
    Once scanning is complete, the screen will display the files on your USB drive. You may scan more files or continue to the next step.
  5. Eject the USB drive properly
    • 5a. On the panel, press the bottom-left icon of a USB and a checkmark.
    • 5b. Select “USB Memory”, then press “OK”.
    • 5c. Wait for the confirmation screen before removing your flash drive.

 

Warning

Removing the flash drive without following Step 5 fully may cause an error message or data loss.

 
 
 

Sharp MX-M623N Copier

  1. Insert USB

2. Press image send tab

3. Adjust settings

4. Name the file

5. Insert paper and press “Go”

 
 

Sharp MX M7570 Copier

  1. Plug in USB Drive
    • 1a. USB port is located on the front of the copier.
  2. Select “Scan to External Memory Device”
  3. Tap “Scan to USB”
  4. Load Documents in Tray
  5. Choose Color Format then the documents will begin scanning automatically.
  6. Wait for “Sending data has been completed.”
  7. Repeat steps above if you want to scan more.
  8. When finished, safely remove your USB.
