Phish Alert Button (PAB)
The Phish Alert Button (PAB) is a Google Chrome extension that allows you report suspicious emails. To begin using this extension, you will need to allow it access to your Gmail. Please follow the steps below to enable PAB for your account:
- Open Google Chrome browser. Make sure your browser sync is on by clicking on the Profile picture. If the sync is on, you are ready to use PAB in Gmail.
- If the sync is off, click Turn on sync
- In the next pop-up window, click Create to set up the your Google Chrome profile
- In the next pop-up window, click Yes, I'm in to turn on sync
- Next select Allow on KnowBe4 PAB screen
Using PAB in Gmail
- Select the email you want to report and you will see the PAB phishing hook in Gmail tool bar at the top of the screen
- Click on the phishing hook and confirm that you want to report selected email by clicking Report
- The confirmation message will pop up signifying that the email has been reported to BCSC Technology. It will be automatically removed from your Inbox.
If you do not see the Phishing Hook in Gmail, please check the following troubleshooting tips:
- Make sure you are using Google Chrome browser
- Check to ensure you are signed in and sync is turned on (see section 1 above for sync instructions)
- If you still don't see Phishing Alert Button in Gmail, please submit a 360Facility request to your building technology team.
