When to Install a Local Printer?
If the building has a completed printer reduction map, then no additional printers can be added beyond what the map specifies. Currently, only two buildings have completed maps - Clifty Creek and CSA Lincoln. Other building maps will be completed in the next several years as additional copiers are provided to the buildings.
In the buildings without the maps, please follow this decision tree below to determine whether the printer should be installed locally. Our goal is to limit local printer installations to situations where they are truly necessary. The full decision tree can also be viewed here.
Was the printer purchased by BCSC?
Can it be networked in the current state?
The printer must be netowrked
Is there an alternative printer available that can be networked and used in the same capacity? (check with the building and the Building Tech chat)

How many BCSC staff use this printer?
Would a purchase of a new BCSC Technology-approved printer resolve the issue?
