This article will show you how to set Google Chrome as the default browser and PDF viewer on your laptop.

First, open Google Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner, below the X button. It's highlighted in the image below.

A menu will open, and at the very bottom, there should be the "Settings" option. You may need to hover over the down arrow at the bottom of the menu to scroll down to find it.

Once the "Settings" page appears, click on the "Default browser" tab on the left side of the page.

After clicking the "Default browser" tab, you should see a "Make default" button. It is highlighted in the image below. Click the "Make default" button, to open the Windows Settings window.

Once the Windows Settings window opens and fully loads, it should look like the image below. Click the "Set default" button in the top right of the window.

You have now made Google Chrome the default browser on your laptop. Now you will also make Google Chrome the default PDF viewer.

In the same Windows Settings window, scroll down until you see ".pdf," then click on the "Microsoft Edge" button below it, as shown below.

You will see a pop-up asking you to select the default PDF viewer. Click on "Google Chrome" and then click the blue "Set default" button.

The Settings window should now look like this with Google Chrome under ".pdf".

You can now close the window, as Google Chrome has been set as your default PDF viewer.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to submit a ticket.
